LAM Hiu Man, Anna lives in Hong Kong.
Anna is a visual artist based in Hong Kong. She specializes in photography, printmaking, and painting and graduated from the Academy of Visual Arts of Hong Kong Baptist University. In 2023-2024, she received the Hong Kong Open Printshop Award in Printmaking and held her first solo exhibition, “give me a go,” showcasing her lithographs.
Her images compress the natural landscape and man-made space into a flat time capsule through the lens and black and white film. Inspired by the meticulous and volatile natural colours and the black and white man-made colour palettes, she creates elusive and absurd prints and paintings. Anna believes there will no longer be pure nature in the world, but manufactured. Starting from the perspective of a stranger, she leads the viewer to be perplexed by the huge and fleeting geographical scenery through the narrow prints ridiculously, meanwhile thinking that they have already become a part of the landscape unwittingly, and even the “God”.
Previously, her works were shown in group exhibitions, including “8×12”(FLOOR_, Seoul, 2021) and “(original)”(WURE AREA, Hong Kong, 2021)
