The B.A. Graduation Exhibition — “Drop Me Off at the Rear”
“Drop me off at the rear,” seemingly both absurd and illogical, contrasts with our everyday expression of “Drop me off at the front” while travelling on vehicles. Human minds and behaviours are long shaped by social conventions like “Please inform the driver before alighting”. Presumptions urge us in determining our destination before the actual sceneries come into view, leading to an inevitable loss of unreached possibilities. As authentic realization often comes with delay, we seize the moment to alter our destiny when the ideal spot is missed, staunchly raise out “Drop me off at the rear!”
